It's on a frequent bus line, it's a block off fun-to-wander Clement Street, and it's a block away from Park Presidio which takes you directly north over the GGBridge or south to the Peninsula
We love the coffee dispenser in the lobby - it offers lots of options.
We could have used more towels and a small table in the room, as we play cards when we travel.
This hotel was in the middle of everything. Literaly less than 5 miles from the famous parks, bridge and fishermans wharf. For the price I expected decent what I got was way more than excellent. Great staff. Clean rooms. Remodled/updated bathroom. New and clean decor. Satalite tv. Great free coffee.
There was nothing I didnt like.
Great location, nice room, clean. The parking places are not as narrow as stated by others. Anyway, the staff was eager to help me by backing in.
The room was really inexpensive 79.99 a night on the weekend. The king bed room had a small table with 2 chairs, a dresser, tv (cable), refrigerator, coffee pot, 2 night stands, alarm clock, and a big closet. The room was very clean. The sheets and pillowcases smelled so clean and the bed was really comfortable. The best part about the room was the bathroom. It was the nicest bathroom of any hotels I've stayed at. It had granite counter tops and a granite shower stall. It was also very clean and had a hair dryer. The check in went very smoothly and the desk guy was very friendly. He even turned the juice machine back on for me after the breakfast time was over. The breakfast was only juice and small pastries, but thats expected at the great price. There was a bus stop right in front of the hotel. Free parking and WIFI!
very clean inside and out, comfortable bed, refrig and microwave,
staff, limited towels
Our room was superbly clean with no odors and very little street noise. The hotel manager was quite helpful, a wonderful greeter and knowledgeable about the neighborhood including the breakfast cafes just a block north.
The breakfast bar was limited but equipped with good coffee.
location near the de Young Museum
Great location for Golden Gate Park activities, walking distance to museums, Prisidio, plenty of choices for meals in neighborhood. Additionally, the cleanest new rooms and most comfortable bed!
I picked this hotel as I needed a room near my relatives. This isn't a fancy hotel, but the room was nice, clean and comfortable. It had the normal amenities: fridge, microwave, nice TV etc. I doubt you can find a better value for the money in SF.
The only downside, if you're unprepared, is the street noise. My room faced Geary so there was traffic noise. However, I did plan ahead and brought earplugs so I slept very soundly.
The manager (or owner?) of Geary Parkway Motel was very pleasant and very helpful. I have stayed there before and expect to stay again.
Its location is not the best of neighborhoods, but for lodging in San Francisco it is a great deal; a bargain. The room was clean and comfortable; not a luxury place but fine for an overnight stay.
Location was good with the bus stop right next door. Room is good and clean. Area is safe and has necessaries available near by. There is a good Indian restraunt nearby. Taxi faciity is good. Close to attractions but will need transport to visit them. Staff is helpful though sometimes we couldn't reach them. Having coffee machine and micro wave was very useful. All local calls were free which was very helpful in making the tour or taxi bookings.
From the outside it is not impressive at all. The hotel staff is bare minimum. We had to take the tours from other hotels. There was no pick up or drop for the tours.
- Clean new rooms - free parking - residential area
- Take earplugs because Geary Blvd is loud!! - easily agitated owner - takes you about 45 minutes to get to downtown
On the whole, I liked the hotel, though the room was very small for 4 persons (the room with two queen-size beds for 2 persons each). When go out from the bathroom you immediately bump into the bed (20 cm between the bathroom door and the bed). The furniture was okay (microwave, tv, fridge, etc), the room was clean.
The size of the room was funny (especially for the room that is supposed to host 4 persons) - two queen-size beds take almost all the room space. The parking is too small - only 8 lots for around 20-25 rooms, this is not acceptable for a Motel. The lobby personal speak english quite poor. The location - quite far from the centre even when driving. In my opinion, this motel is a bit pricey considering what was said above.
